Skegness Magistrates' Court

TWO men have appeared at Skegness Magistrates Court, jointly charged with producing cannabis at a flat in South Parade.

Dennis Kenneth Law, 33, and John Richard Pass, 50, who live in different flats at South Parade, both deny producing a quantity of cannabis at Pass' flat between December 20, 2011 and July 16 2012.

Law was also charged with producing cannabis at his flat on January 15, 2012, which he admitted.

Mark Holmes, prosecuting, told the magistrates the offences denied were not suitable for summary trial as there were a large number of plants involved, valued between £10-15,000, and that the sentence if convicted, was likely to be imprisonment for three to five years.

Magistrates declined jurisdiction and the cases were adjourned until November 1 for committal to Lincoln Crown Court for trial.

Both men were granted bail.
