CHILDREN will be given the chance to meet St Nicholas at a Christmas fair in Skegness.

A wide range of Polish food and refreshments will also be available at the event on Sunday, December 8 at the Sacred Heart Church Hall in Grosvenor Road.

Wojciech Pisarski, chair of Skegness Polish Educational Association, said: "The Polish culture has distinctive traditions associated with the Christmas season.

"Particularly prominent is the celebration of St Nicholas – Bishop of Myrna in Turkey who was famed for his generosity.

"We are very pleased to have been able to invite St Nicholas to our Christmas Fair.

"All children will receive a gift."
