'CLIP'-ON!: The launch of the learning partnership in Mablethorpe.

AN official launch event was held by Community Learning in Partnership in Mablethorpe.

The event, a joint celebration evening at Mablethorpe Learning Centre, formally launched CLIP as the new company name.

It also marked the success of learners of all ages who attend classes and course at the venue.

Certificates were presented to both young FLARE students, in the 16 to 19 age range, and to adult learners by Mablethorpe Mayor Councillor Bernard Dobbs.

FLARE is a practical study programme that is built around the young people's needs and is related to the working world.

They can achieve the qualifications they need before they take the next step – which may be a college course or work.

The evening also celebrated the Enterprising Minds project, which is aimed at people who have experienced mental health problems.

Project members are involved in upgrading and rebuilding computers for community use and Diane Brandon was presented with a computer that she had helped upgrade.

The project takes place every Wednesday at the Mablethorpe Learning Centre from 1noon until 4pm.
